The Keramikes Morfes studio was founded in 2003 with the vision of teaching and promoting the art of ceramics to adults.

Today it operates in two locations, in Kerameikos and in Nea Erythraia, offering a comprehensive program of studies that combines technical training with artistic exploration.

Founder and owner of the studios is Marilena Michopoulou, ceramist and visual artist, with many years of experience in both creation and teaching.

Our philosophy is based on the belief that ceramics is not only art and technique, but also a personal language of expression.

Our aim is for each student to gain a deep understanding of the material and its possibilities, while at the same time developing their own artistic identity.

We place particular emphasis on sculptural form and decorative techniques, while the teaching process is enriched with Art History seminars that foster understanding, inspiration, and personal style. The Sculpture classes—both classical and contemporary—cultivate the ability to create dynamic works, without technical difficulties limiting creativity.

Every year, thematic exhibitions are organized in our Kerameikos studio as well as in other art venues, offering students the opportunity to present their work to the public. In addition, every two years the renowned exhibition “Clay Stories” takes place, featuring advanced students and invited professional artists.

With consistency and dedication, Keramikes Morfes continues to be a vibrant space for education and artistic expression, where tradition meets contemporary creation.
