Biography

Thodoris Galigallidis has been a ceramist since 1987.

He studied at the Center of Technical Vocational Training of the Manpower Employment Organization (OAED)

1995: ceramic instructor for the implementation of the social equality measure (“EQUAL”): “Ceramic education”, HORIZON Educational Program 1995.

1995 – 2008: ceramic Instructor at LEADER 1

2008: ceramic instructor for the implementation of the social equality measure (“EQUAL”): “COMPLETE INTERVENTIONS SUPPORTING SPECIFIC DISADVANTAGED GROUPS (disabled or former drug dependent persons)”

Thodoris Galligalidis has worked in several workshops since then. Lately, he has been managing the ceramic department at K.E.TH.E.A. ITHAKI in Thessaloniki, where he teaches adults and individuals with special needs. He specializes in ceramic and glass, while also being an expert at handling clay using the pottery wheel. He colors his ceramics using reductive techniques, with terra sigillata and corrosive enamels. He participates in exhibitions both in Greece and abroad.
